HomeMy Public PortalAbout1993-001Member Ann Thies introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 93-01 RESOLUTION AFFIRMING VACATION OF LAKE SHORE PARK AVENUE (NOW LAKE SHORE AVENUE) WHEREAS, after due notice and hearing as prescribed by law and pursuant to a motion made, seconded and adopted at a meeting of the Village Council held on August 19, 1958, the Village of Medina vacated 10 feet on either side of Lake Shore Park Avenue (now Lake Shore Avenue) between Main and Pine Streets; and WHEREAS, the minutes of the August 19, 1958 meeting did not contain a legal description of the vacated roadway and no resolution was adopted so that no notice of said vacation was recorded in the office of the Hennepin County Recorder; and WHEREAS, the City of Medina now desires to provide a vacation resolution in recordable form. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota as follows: The City of Medina does hereby affirm the vacation of the portions of Lake Shore Park Avenue, now known as Lake Shore Avenue, located in Hennepin County, Minnesota and described as follows: The East 10 feet of Lake Shore Park Avenue as laid out in the plat of Independence Beach lying between the most southerly line of Block 19, Independence Beach extended westerly and the most northerly line of Block 28, Independence Beach extended westerly; and The West 10 feet of Lake Shore Park Avenue as laid out in the plat of Independence Beach lying between the most southerly line of Block 19, Independence Beach extended westerly and the most northerly line of Block 28, Independence Beach extended westerly.
