A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD DETERMINING THAT A NUISANCE IS BEING
' MAINTAINED ON CERTAIN PR03'ERTY WITHIN SAID CITY
AND DLRECTING THE ABATEMEI~1`r' THEREOF:
WHEREAS, pursuant to the recommendation of the City Manager
of the City of Lynwood, this City Council has previously found that
. certain premises, hereinafter more fully described, may be presently
being maintained in; such a manner as to constitute a nuisance;.
WHEREAS, im light of said finding, this Council adopted a
resolution declaring its .intention to conduct a public hearing to
.ascertain whether a nuisance is being maintained on said property;
and
WHEREAS,. this Council has had a hearing and has .heard and
considered all relevant evidence and testimony from all interested.
persons desiring to, be heard concerning the conditions constituting
the alleged nuisance and the proposed rehabilitation, repair, removal
and demolition thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the-City of Lynwood, does.
'hereby find;, determine, order and resolve as follows:
" ~ Section l,. The property described as Lot 6, Tract 2794,
City of Lynrnrood; more commonly known as 10815 Long Beach Blvd., City
of Lynwood, California, is hereby found and declared to be.a public
". nuisance as defined, in Chapter ~l of the Lynwood City Cade.
• Section 2. The particular conditions of said property •
which are hereby found and determi~~ed to constitute a nuisance are
described as followsc
1. Tires and other combustible debris scattered around
the property:
2. A dangerous, unsecured, fire gutted building that is
an eyesore to the Cityo
Section 3. It is further found and determined that, in
order to abate said nuisance, it will be necessary that the follow-.
ing steps be taken:
1. The building be demolished and the debris and combust-
ible junk removed from the site.
Section 4. The owner of said property, Mr. Frank Quattroc-
chi, is or..dered" and directed to take said steps and to abate said
nuisance.
Section 5. If the property owner fails to take the steps
as provided in this resolution within thirty (30) days after the
date this resolution is posted upon the property, the City of
Lynwood shall immediately cause the same to be abated by City per-
sonnel or private contract and such personnel or persons under
contract are expressly authorized to enter upon the premises for
such purposes.
Section 6. In the event the City of Lynwood causes the
aforementioned nuisance to be abated by the City personnel or pri-
_ vate contract,, the owner of the premises shall be liable to said
` City for all costs. All said costs s?~~=~~_1 constitute a special
assessment against the subject property.
~' Section 7. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to
post conspicuously: at least one copy of this re~s'olution on the
subject property and to send another copy of this resolution by
~.,
registered "mail (or certified), postage prepaid, return receipt
requested, to the owner of the. land as his name and address appear
on the last equalized assessment roll or is known to the City Cler$.
..The failure .of any owner or other person to receive such
notice shall not affect:in.any manner the validity of_.any pro-
ceedings taken hereunder.
