A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD RELATING TO THE DESTRUCTION
' OF RECORDS.
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has retained certain .records
~~ ~in the lawful execution of her responsibilities which are no
longer required; and
WHEREAS, Government Code s 34090 permits the head of
a city department to destroy any city record, document,
instrument, book or paper under his charge, without making a
copy thereof, after the same is no longer required;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE-CITY OF
LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, RESOLVE AND ORDER AS
FOLLOWS:

this resolution do not include records the destruction of
which is specifically prohibited by Government Code s °.-340<9~0
namely:
(a) Records affecting the title to real
.property or liens thereon:
(b) Court records:
(c) Records required to be kept by statute:
(d) Records less than two years old:
(e) The minutes, ordinances, or resolutions
of the legislative body of the City
of Lynwood.

.Section 2.-.The written consent of the City Attorney
has been obtained prior to 'the destruction of any and a l city
records pursuant to this resolut~.on.
Section 3. The City 'Clerk of the City of Lynwood
is hereby authorized to destroy the following records:
Purchase Orders 1970 - 71
. Purchase Orders 1971 - 72
Purchase Orders 1972 - 73
Purchaste Orders 1973 - 7~
Recreation Receipts 1966 - 68
Miscellaneous 1866 - 68
Fuel. Re'por'ts 1864 - '69
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of August, 1979.
