:. on the 7th of .August 1979, file with the City Clerk, a.s ordered
by Reso1'c~tion Noe79-6o of th~~ City Council of the City of Lynwood
adopted August 7, 1..979, a report re7~ating to the service necessary
to maintain and improve all parks and 1ara.dscaped areas within public
right-~of~way and City owned properties in the City of Lynwood,
said w.ritte;n report being in compliance with Chapter ~., Secton
• 2256 of the Streets and Hg7iways Code of the State of Californian

• Section 2fl `hat the public interest .and safety require
and .t.is the. intention of the City Council of the City of Lynwood
to order the formation of the Landscape Maintenance District and to
levy and collect,,assessments for furnishing the service necessary
to maintain and improve all public landscaped areas comprising 29a5
acres. of parkland, the civic center complex, six baseball diamonds,
two fire sta'~ions, six :water wells, 27 street island, ten median
islands and approximately l6®000 parkway trees in the city of Lyn--
wood within. tY~e district described in Section 3 hereof and to be
known as "Landscape Mantenance.District,of-the City. of Lynwooda" ;
' Reference is hereby made to Diagram Noe 1.978-L and Specifications
Noo 1978~L on ..file in the office of the City Clerk of said. City
and Pls.n No, 1978®L to be on file with the City Engineers
Suction 3 , That the exterior boundary of. t7~.e district
to be benefited therefrom and to be assessed to~pay the costs and
ex~ezxses thereof to be known as said assessment district is de®
. scribed•as follows.
.~ Those properties lying within the City limits. of the City
of Lynwood, excluding all publicly owned properties, Reference is
hereby made to the Engineer°s Report on file with the City Clerkm
Section 4® That the said contemplated improvement shall
be had and taken under the provisions of Division 15, Part 2 of the
Streets and Highway Coda, cited as the "Landscaping and Lighting
Act of 1972, and' amendments thereto®"

day, the 21st of August,. 1979,. at the hour of 7.30 o"clock pmmQ in
_. the Council Chamber of said City: Ha1.l, 11330 Bullis Road, in the
City of .Lynwood, as the time and place of hearing any and all.pro~
tests in~rela:tion to said proposed improvement,
Section 6a That the City. Clerk of the City of Lynwood
is hereby .directed to give notice of. said hearing in accordance
with the provisions of Sections 22556 and 22588 of the Streets and
H;ig7aways Code of the State of California,
