No. m- 2'JJ Dale 111' Atlllptinn Dec.P.rnber 17, 2009 AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH CME ASSOCIATES, RE: DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS TO FUJIPOL Y AMERICAN CORPORATION PROPERTY WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional land surveying and engineering services for drainage improvements to Block 50.01, Lot 28, located along the rear property line of Fujipoly American Corporation; and WHEREAS, CME Associates, 1460 Route 9 South, Howell, New Jersey 07731, possesses the requisite experience and expertise to provide said services; and \VHEREAS, CME Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said services at a total cost not to exceed $8,500.00; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said proposal; and WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said purpose. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council ofthe Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows: 1. The proposal from CME Associates for professional surveying and engineering services for drainage improvements to Block 50.01, Lot 28, located along the rear property line of Fujipoly American Corporation, at a total cost not to exceed $8,500.00 is hereby approved. 2. 1bis action is approved as an award of a professional services contract pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A:1l-5(l)(a) awarded pursuant to the Borough's Fair and Open process as authorized by law. 3. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing Department and CME Associates. It is our understanding that the Borough Is considering reconstructing the. existing drainage ditch along the rear property line of Fujipoly American Corporation property, Lot 28 in Block 50.01. Based on the survey prepared by Fletcher Engineering dated January 10, 2001, It appears that there Isa 15' wide drainage easement within which the ditch was constructed. At this time It Is anticipated that the necessary construction work will Include re-grading the existing ditch to provide positive drainage and Installing rip rap or a low flow channel to Improve the flow of runoff through the ditch With this in mind we offer the following scope of services: # 1. Survey and Base MaD SeNlces Work to Include all necessary ground survey work within the property and drainage easement In order to develop an exIsting condllion plan, grading plan and construction plan. Approximate property lines will be developed along the rear and sides of the lot based on exlsling fence lines any existing survey control located within the property In question.
