A RESOLUTION-OF THE CITY. COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION
OF A PROPOSAL TO PARTICIPATE IN THE
> UN"ITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY ELECTRIC
AND HYBRID VEHICLE DEMONSTRATION PROJECT
" UNDER PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT DE - PA08-79NV10037
WHEREAS, the United States Congress has passed Public
Law 94-413 providing for a Federal program of research, develop-
ment, and demonstration designed to encourage advancement in
electric and hybrid vehicle technologies; and
• WHEREAS, the Department of Energy ,is authorized by
Public Law 94=413 to conduct demonstration projects to dete"rmine
the economic•and technological practicality of electric and
hybrid vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Energy has solicited •
proposals from state and local government "for such demonstration
projects under Program Announcement DE - PA08-79NV10037; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is eligible to participate
in a demonstration project.
- NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
` of theµCty of Lynvibodauthorize submission .of a-proposal "to--._ -
participate in the United States Department of Energy Electric
and, Hybrid Vehicle Demonstration Project.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21 of August ~ 1979.
