RESOLUTION NO. 79-104
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING -AN_:APPLICATION
FOR DISCRETIONARY FUNDS UNDER THE INTERGOVERNT4ENTAL
PERSONNEL ACT
1YHEREAS, the United States Congress has
passed the Intergovernmental Personnel Act to improve
personnel management in government; and
R'HEREAS, the United States Civil Service
Commission has been designated to administer the In.ter-
governmental Personnel Act; and
~9HEREAS, the Western Region of the Civil
Service Commission now has discretionary funds available for
projects under the Intergovernmental Personnel Act; and
WHEREAS, the Intergovernmental Personnel Act
requires that the Governer's representative must review
.discretionary grant applications; and

WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Personnel Department
has determined that a hi h
g priority project would involve
a de?::o_;str:.i;ion project to i;npro~~e t?;e p?i;~sical c.o:~dition
of the City's Utility Maintenance Workers.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City
Council of the City of Lynwood approve the submission of
an application for the Lynwood Employees Physical Condi-
tioning Demonstration Project to the Governor's designee
and the Western Region of the United States Civil Service
Commission.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of December ,
