AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1995 BUDGET
WHEREAS Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, adopted a budget for
calendar year 1995, and
WHEREAS Common Council has determined it is necessary to transfer money from one
major budget classification to another within a department or office, and
WHEREAS the transfer does not require the expenditure of more money than the total
amount set out in the budget as finally determined under Indiana Code
6-1.1, and
WHEREAS this transfer may be made under Indiana Code 6-1.1-18-6 without notice
and without the approval of the State Board of Tax Commissioners,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
that the 1995 budget be amended as follows:
1. Delete $261,000.00 from Other Contract Services
Existing account no. 101-1- 1- 101-3-3990
2. Add $15,000.00 to Traffic Signs & Guides
New account no. 101-1-1-101-4-4320
3. Add $55,000.00 to Streets, Alleys, Curbs & Sidewalks
New account no. 101-1-1-101-2-2330
4. Add $9,000.00 to Liquid Asphalt
New account no. 101-1-1-101-2-2367
5. Add $182,000.00 to Hot & Cold Mix
New account no. 101-1-1-101-2-2363

This ordinance transfers $261,000.00 in the Mayor's Budget to the various spending categories
for improvement of city streets, curbs, alleys and sidewaks during the 1995 construction
season pursuant to the Mayor's agreement with Council during the 19% Budget adoption
process.
This ordinance can be passed with all three readings in a single meeting upon suspension of
rules to advance to second and third readings.
