RESOLUTION NO. 13-8587
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, TO RE-ESTABLISH THE CITY
BUILDING DEPARTMENT IN-HOUSE UPON EXPIRATION OF
THE CURRENT CONTRACT WITH CAP ENGINEERING, INC.;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Opa-locka's Building Department services are currently
provided under a contract with CAP Engineering Inc. ("CAP"); and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to re-establish the Building Department in-
house and not renew the contract with CAP upon expiration of the current contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka directs that the Building
Department be re-established in-house and that the contract with CAP Engineering, Inc. not be
renewed, upon expiration of the current contract.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of April, 2013.
