A RESOLUTION OP' THE CITY COUNCIL OF. THE CITY
OF LYN4VOOD AUTHORIZIPJG PURCHASE OF PROPERTY
idECESSARY FOR~THE WIDENING AND IMPROVEMENT
OF LONG BEACH BOULEVARD ~.
WHEREAS, the City Council. of the.City.of Lynwood has
determined that the widening and improvement of Long Beach Boulevard
from .the northerly to the southerly boundaries of the C.i,ty .is
necessary for the convenience, welfare, and safety of the public, .and
WHEREAS, it. has. been determined that the best interest
of the City shall be served by the acquisition of property.nec:essary
for said w.idenirig, and
. WHEREAS, the City has appropriated~~.certai.n.funds for
this. acquisition and development, and
`V.H.EREAS, the City Council has received an Environmental
impact statement on the Lang Beach Boulevard Project and have
determined that no significant environmental impact will. occur in
the completion of this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF. THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following, described property is necessary
for the widening of Long Beach Boulevard.
Parcel 36
The westerly 6.5 .feet (measured at right angles) of
the sout.~herl.y half of. Lot 13 of Tract No. 2794, i.n the
City of Lynwood, County of Los Angeles, State of
Californ:ia,.as per map recorded in Book 28 page 6 of
Maps, i.n the office of the County Recorder of said
Countyo
Section 2. That the purchase price of the above described
property has been negotiated with-Nathaniel Rivera,, Ot.ilia Rivera and
Olga Gomez for a value of $520.00.
Section 3. That~~the Gi.ty Council authorize`and direct
City, Staff to take whatever steps necessary to accept-.this property
in accordance with the terms and conditions as set forth above.
