RESOLUTION N0. 78-g
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING THAT ALL
BALLOTS BE COUNTED AT A CENTRAL COUNTING PLACE.
WHEREAS, it is desirable that all ballots cast by
electors at--the.General. Municipal Elec-tor. to be held in said City
on Tuesday, March 7, 1978 be counted at a central place; and
WHEREAS, Section 17050 of the Elections Code of the State
of California authorizes the City Council to provide that all
ballots cast at said General Municipal Election be counted at.a
central counting place;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY CCUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AN.D ORDER AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant tc Section 17050 of the
Elections Code of the State of California, ballots cast by electors
at the General Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, March 7,
1978 be counted at a central places
SECTION 2. That the City Hall is hereby designated as
the central place to count said ballots.
SECTION 3. That notice of the central countir...g place is
hereby given and the City Clerk is hereby authorized, instructed
and directed to give such further or additional notice of the
central counting place in time, form and manner as requir°ed by law.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this Resolution; shall enter the same in
the book of original Resolutions of said City; and small make a
minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records cf the
proceedings of the City Council of said'City, in the minutes of
the meeting at which the same is passed and adoptedo
SECTION 5. That this Resolution shall take effect
immediately.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of January,
1978.
