RESOLUTION NO: 78-24
A RESOLUTION OF' THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AGREEING TO THE TRANSFER AND OPERATION
OF T•IiE COMPREHENSIVE EMPLOYMENT TRAINING ACT
RESPONSIBILITIES TO LYNWOOD-SERVICES CORPORATION
AND THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT .DEPARTMENT OF
LOS ANGELES COUNTY.
WHEREAS, at its meeting of December 6, ~ 1977 the City Council
requested that the County of Los Angeles administer the Corriprehensive
Employment. and Training Program for the -City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has indicated its desire
for CETA programs to be administered locally; and
WcIEREAS, it is legal and proper for a community based non-profit
corporation to. participate in and administer CETA programs; and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood Services Corporation is such a
community based non-profit corporation with the administrative
capabilities to administer a CETA program,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the- City of Lynwood request the .Board of Supervisors of the County
of Los Angeles to enter into agreements with Lynwood Services Corporation
to represent the Community of Lynwood in matters related to the
Comprehensive Employment and Training Act.
