CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.93-26
RESOLUTION APPROVING REZONING OF OUTLOT A,
ALPANA SECOND ADDITION FROM MULTIFAMILY
RESIDENTIAL TO URBAN INDUSTRIAL
WHEREAS, Alpana Aluminum Products, Inc. is the fee owner of Outlot A,
Alpana Second Addition (the Property); and
WHEREAS, Thorpe Distributing Company has obtained an option to purchase
the Property; and
WHEREAS, Alpana Aluminum Products, Inc. and Thorpe Distributing Company
(collectively, the Applicants) have requested that the Property be rezoned from
multifamily residential (MR) to urban industrial (UI); and
WHEREAS, the planning commission has conducted a public hearing on the
proposed rezoning following mailed and published notice as required by law, and
heard all persons wishing to address the commission on the matter; and
WHEREAS, the planning commission has recommended that a rezoning of the
Property from MR to UI is consistent with the City's comprehensive plan and in the
best interest of the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Medina, as follows:
1. Outlot A, Alpana Second Addition is hereby rezoned from MR to UI; and
2. The zoning administrator is hereby authorized and directed to make the
necessary adjustment to the City's official zoning map to reflect this
change and to make all other changes or modifications in the records of
the City to effect this rezoning.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Zietlow
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof :
Councilmembers Ferris, Johnson, Thies, Zietlow and Mayor Theis.
and the following voted against same: None.
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
