HomeMy Public PortalAbout024-1995 Receive a donationORDINANCE NO. 24-1995 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF RICHMOND TO RECEIVE DONATIONS WHEREAS the City of Richmond, Indiana, has the option of accepting or rejecting donations for a specific purpose, and WHEREAS the acceptance of a donation for a specific purpose constitutes the appropriation of such property for the intended purpose, NOW, TTEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the following donations are hereby accepted with the hest -felt gratitude of the citizens of Richmond: A. Norfolk Southern Corporation, a donation of $31,000.00 for transfer to the Neighborhood Services Clearinghouse CmpontiOn for the use and benefit of the North Richmond Neighborhood Association. Donations Fund account no. 850-85-850-8501-4-4310. B . Mark and Mari Weber, a donation of $25.00 to the Street Tree Commission for street tree plant materials. Donations Fund account no. 850-85-850-8501-3-4311. C . The following donations to the Department of Parks and Recreation for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt: 1. Belden Wire & Cable Company $200.00 2. J.M. Hutton & Co., Inc. 100.00 3. Lingle Real Estate, Inc. 100.00 4. Mosey Manufacturing Co., Inc. 100.00 5. Arnedco Stamping Co. 75.00 6. MILLIGAN City Attorney The acceptance of gifts by ordinance constitutes the appropriation of such property for the intended purpose and fulfills the State Board of Accounts regulations as well as provides well -deserved recognition for the donors.
