Home My Public Portal About13-8602 Initiate Foreclosure Proceeding on Certain Properties in the City Sponsored by: Vice-Mayor Kelley RESOLUTION NO. 13-8602 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO RECOMMEND, AND THE CITY ATTORNEY TO INITIATE, FORECLOSURE PROCEEDING ON CERTAIN PROPERTIES IN THE CITY; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS,the City of Opa-locka has liens on certain properties in the City; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to authorize the City Manager to recommend suitable properties for foreclosures, and to authorize the City Attorney to commence foreclosure proceedings. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference. Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby authorizes the City Manager to recommend properties for foreclosure, and authorizes the City Attorney to institute foreclosure proceedings. The City Manager shall investigate the possibility of seeking receivership of certain properties. Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
