A RESOLUTION OF THE-CITY;COUNCIL OF THE-
CITY-OF LYNWOOD DECLARING IT.S hNTENTION
TO-CONDUCT A; PUBLIC HEARING TO ASCERTAIN-
WHETHER A-.NUISANCE IS BEING MAINTAINED
ON PROPERTY GENERALLY KNOWN AS.2958
OAKWOOD AVENUE; LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the City Manager of-the City of Lynwood has recommended
that this City Council find that a certain premise within the City of
..
Lynwood may-be maintained in such away as to constitute. a nuisance;
and,
WHEREAS, certain procedures are set forth in Chapter 21 of the
City Code of the.,City_of.Lynwood,-pursuant to which nuisances may be-;
abated, ~ .~
NOW,_ THEREFORE;,THE-CITY-COUNCIL OF THE_CITY~;OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY-RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: =-
1. Based-upon-,the aforesaid:_recommendation of-the City, Manager.
this Council hereby finds.~and~determines that the following described
property may, be presently. being maintained in such a-manner as to
consttute~a nuisance. 5aid_property.is described as Lots 68 and 69,
Block'4 of Modjeska~Park Tract; and is; generally known as .2958 Oakwood
Av,enue,~Lynwood, California.
2: The-conditions„of said property_whch constitute a-nusance~
are described-as follows: `
a. weeds in front and rear yards -
b. lawn._mowing equipment in front and rear yards.
3. ,The-method or.methods by which-said conditions could be
abated include.:
a. cut"and remove weeds, in front and~rear yards •
b. remove lawn mowing equipment from front and.-rear yards:.
4. This Council therefore declares its intention to-.conduct a..
public hearing pursuant to Chapter-2l-.of the City Code of the City
of;Ly,nwood to ascertain whether the above-described conditions cori-
stitute-a public~nuisarice, the abatement.of which is appropriate-.
under the;Police power of the.; City,.of.Lyriwood.•~
5. The City Council is~,authorized and directed to fix the time
and-place for~said.public hearing and, to-serve and post certified
copies of this Resolution in the manner-set forth-in Section. 21-18'
of ',the 'Lynwood City Code .
