RESOLUTION NO. 13-8603
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO ESTABLISH A
RECOGNITION PROGRAM TO HONOR OPA-LOCKA
POLICE OFFICERS ON A MONTHLY BASIS AS
"OFFICER OF THE MONTH"; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-lokca would like to show
appreciation to the Opa-locka Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to establish a Recognition Program for the
officers of the Opa-locka Police Depai linent; and
WHEREAS, by establishing the recognition program, the City will present a recognition
of service award to an officer or officers of the police department on a monthly basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble are hereby incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, Florida, hereby authorizes
establishing a Recognition Program to honor Opa-locka police officers on a monthly basis, as
"Officer of the Month".
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of May, 2013.
