A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL O:F THF; CITY OF
LYNhTOOD DETERNIID]Ir]G THAT A NUISANCE IS BEING
h1AINTAINED ON CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN SAID CITY
AND DIRECTING THE ABATEMENT THEREOF.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the recommendation of the City
manager of the City of .Lynwood, this City Council has previously
found that certain premises,, hereinafter more fully described,
may be presently being maintained in such a manner as to
constitute a nuisance;
WHEREAS, in ].fight of said finding, this Council adopted
a.resoluti.on declaring its intention to conduct a public hearing
to ascertain whether a nuisance is being maintained on said
property; and
WHEREAS, this Council .has held a hearing and has heard
and considered all relevant evidence and testimony from all
interested persons desiring to be heard concerning the conditions
constituting the .alleged nuisance and the .proposed rehabilitation,
repair, removal and demolition thereof; ~.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:.
~Section,l. The property described as Lots 68 and 69,
Block 4 of Modjeska Park Tract, and is generally known as
2958 Oakwood`Avenue, Lynwood, California, is hereby ,found and
declared as a public nuisance as defined in Chapter 21 of the
Lynwood City Code.
Section 2. The particular conditions of said property
which are hereby found and determined to constitute a nuisance
are. described as follows:-
Violation of ordinances on weeds and lawn mowing
equipment in front and rear yards..
Section 3~ It is further found and determined that,
in order to abate said nuisance, ilt will be .necessary that the
following steps be taken:
Cut and remove weeds in. front and rear yards, remove

lawn mowing equipment from front. and rear yards.
..Section 4. The owner of said property, LEE H.
R.ANDOLPH, is ordered and directed to take said steps and to
abate said nuisance.
Section .5. If the property owner fails to .take the
steps as provided. in this resolution within thirty .(3.0) days
after the date this resolution is posted upon the property,.
the:City of Lynwood shall immediately cause the. same to be
abated.~by City personnel or private contract and such personnel
or persons under contract are. expressly authorized to. enter
upon the premises for-such purposes.
Section 6. In the event the City of_Lynwoocl causes
the aforementioned nuisance to ,be abated by City personnel
or private contract, the. owner of the premises shall be liable
_._ to said ..City for .all ~ costs of such. abatement, including all.
administrative costs. All said costs shall constitute a
;.special assessment against the subject property.
Section 7. The City Clerk is authorized and directed
to post conspiciously at least one copy of this resolution
on the subject property and to send another copy of this
resolution by registered or certified mail, postage prepaid,.
return. receipt requested, to the owner of the lend as his name.
and address appear on the last equalized assessment roll or is
known to the City Clerk.
The failure of any owner or other person to receive
such :notice shall not affect in ary manner the validity of any
proceedings taken hereunder.
