HomeMy Public PortalAbout78-051 (06-06-78)RESOLUTION i10. 78-51 '~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER STREET LIGHTING SERVICE ON CERTAIN STREETS IN THE-CITY OF LYNWOOD FOR A PERIOD BEGINNING JULY 1, 1978 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1981 The City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby resolve as .follows: Section 1. That the public interest and convenience require and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Lynwood to order the furnishing of the service necessary to maintain, improve and illuminate by means of electrical energy the street lighting system made up of 7,000 lumen, 11,000 lumen, 20,000 lumen, 25,500 lumen, 35,000 lumen 47,000 lumen., and 55,000 lumen lamps, and the 7,000 lumen, 20,000 lumen, 25,500 lumen, 35,000 lumen, 47,000 lumen and 55,000 lumen lamps on ornamental standards in certain streets in the City of Lynwood within the district described in Section 2 hereof and to be known as "Lighting Maintenance District "A" of the City of Lynwood." Reference is hereby made to Plan Noy 1978-A and Specifications No. 1978-A on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. Section 2. That the exterior boundary of the district to be benefited therefrom and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof to be known as said assessment district is described as follows Those properties lying within the City limits of the City of Lynwood, excluding City owned properties. (See attached diagram). The district is divided into Zone A and Zone B with Zone A defined as those properties benefiting from 7,000 lumen and 11,000 lumen lamps, and Zone B defined as those properties-benefiting from ~p,000 lumen or higher lamps. Section 3. That the said contemplated improvement shall be for a period of three (3) years, commencing July 1, 1978, and be had and taken under the provisions of Division 14, Part I of the Streets and Highways Code, cited as the ''Street Lighting Act of 1919, and ammendments thereto." Section 4. That the° City Council does hereby fix Wednes~i~.y, the bth day of July, 1978, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m. in the Council Chamber of said City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, in the City of Lynwood, as the time and place of hearing any and all protests in relation to said proposed improvement. Section 5. That the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood is hereby directed to give notice of said hearing in the time, form, and manner required by law.
