RESOLUTION N0. 7'8-66
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD STATING ITS INTENTION TO INITIATE
PROCEEDINGS AND DIRECTING CITY STAFF TO FILE
ANNEXATION APPLICATIONS WITH LOCAL AGENCY
FORMATION COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood is
desirous of initiating annexation proceedings for the annexation
of certain territory to the City of Lynwood
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
hereby does find, determine, resolve, and order as follows.
That the City Manager is hereby directed to make
application for annexation in accordance with Municipal Organiza-
tion Act of 1977 (MORGA) and file proceedings with the Local
Agency Formation Commission in conjunction with Government Code
54792 for the annexation of the property described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, to the City of Lynwood, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of
Lynwood is hereby authorized to execute such application on
behalf of the City of Lynwood.
AYES COUNCILMEN BYORK, GREEN, MORRIS, HIGGINS.
NOES COUNCILMEN NONE.
ABSENT COUNCILMEN ROWE.

Beginning at, the southwesterly corner of Lot 10 in I31°ck C of Watts Park 'T'ract
as shown on map filed in Boole 8, page 70 of Maps in the Office of the Recorder
of Los Angeles County, thence easterly along the southerly line of said lot,
said line being also the boundary of the City of Lynwood as said boundary line
existed on January ~, 1974, a distance of 94 feet, thence Sout11 70 32~ F,ast along
said boundary line 20 feet to the intersection o.f the cetx•i;erline of 108i;h Street,
formerly Second Street (40 feet wide), as shown on Map of Watts Par}z Tract
recorded in Book 8, page 70 of Maps in the Office of the Recorder of Los Angeles
County, thence South 82° 2g~ West along said centerline of 108th Streef; (formerly
Second Street) 429 feet to the intersection of t}xe centerline of Wa1:ts Avenue (40
feet wide), as shown on last mentioned map, thence 7°'32' West along said center-
line to the intersection of the boundary line of the City of Lynwood, said boundary
line being the northerly line of 107th Place, formerly First Street (40 feet wide),
as shown on map of Watts Park Track filed in Book 8, Page 70 of Maps i,rx file
Office of t}ie Recorder of Los Angeles County, thence easterly along said boundary
line and following the same in all its various courses to the point of beginning.
