. "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTI-IbRIZING AN APPLICATION TO THE
CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR A LOAN
UNDER. THE CALIFORNIA SAFE DRINKING WATER BOND
LAW .OF .X976 , ~~
- WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of California has
enacted the California Safe Drinking Water Bond Law of .1976, which
- provides 1-o an funds for ,the planning, .design, and construction of
facilities for the protection of domestic water supplies; and.
WHEREAS, the California State Department of Health has
been delegated the responsibility of administering this Law; and
WHEREAS,~the Legislature has recently passed SB 1327,
which will enable public agencies on the loan priority list to
apply for grants; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that Water~Wel1 #3
must be reconstructed and certain ,water lines and mains must be
replaced in order to maintain compliance with State water quality
and quantity standards; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has no alternative method
.for financing this project:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
hereby approves the filing of an application for a loan under the
California Safe Drinking Water Bond Law of 1976 to reconstruct
Water Well ~#3 and replace certain water lines and mains. -
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of July •19'78
