A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER
THE FORMATION OF A LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT
IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
resolve as follows:
- - Section 1. That the public interest and safety require
and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Lynwood to
order the formation of the Landscape Maintenance District and to levy
and collect assessments for furnishing the service necessary to
maintain and improve all public landscaped areas comprising 2.9.5 acres
of parkland, the civic center complex,.six baseball diamonds, two fire
stations, six water wells, 27 street island; ten median islands and
approximately 16,000 parkway trees in the City of Lynwood within the
district described in Section 2 hereof and to be known as 'Landscape
Maintenance District of the City of Lynwood.' Reference is hereby
made to Diagram No. 1978-L and Specifications No. 1978-L on file in
the office of the City Clerk of said City and Plan No. 1978-L to be on
file with the City Engineer.
Section 2. That the exterior boundary of the district to
be benefited therefrom and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses
thereof to be known as said assessment district is described as follows:
Those properties lying within the City limits of the City of,
Lynwood, excluding all publicly owned properties. Reference is
hereby made to the Engineer's Report on file with the City Clerk.
"S'e'ct'i'on' 3. That the said contemplated improvement shall
be had and taken under the provisions of Division 15, ,Part 2 of the
Streets and Highway Code, cited as the "Landscaping and Lighting Act of 7;>-',;?
1972;., and amendments thereto."

Chamber of said City Hall, 11330 Bu11i.s Road, in the City of Lynwood,
as the time and place of hearing any- a:nd all protests in relation'to•
said proposed improvement.
Section 5. That the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood
is hereby directed to give notice of said hearing in a~co.rdance with
the provisions of. Sections 2,2556 and 22588 of the Streets and Highways.

Section 6o Prior to the conclu,cion of the hearing, any
interested person nlay file .a written protest,-may file a written with
drawal of that protest. A w2.i.tten protest shall state grounds of~ -
objection, A protest by a property owner shall contain a description
