RESOLUTION NO. 13-8612
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
PERFORM A MARKET STUDY OF CUYAHOGA AND
GOLF COURSE DRIVE PROPERTIES, IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $10,000, PAYABLE
FROM ACCOUNT NUMBER 37-515340, A
NONBUDGETED ITEM; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Cuyahoga is an underused commercial facility, available for reuse;
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires the City
Manager to have a study performed on the Brownfield sites, known as Cuyahoga and
Golf Course Drive; and
WHEREAS, the study will provide necessary data to the City in the decision-
making process of selling city-owned properties, partnering with private property owners,
or in redevelopment, that will serve as a powerful model to other area businesses and
spark investment of private capital in site rehabilitation and economic revitalization; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to authorize
the City Manager to do a market study of Cuyahoga and Golf Course Drive properties,
with Cuyahoga's owners paying half the cost for the study.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble are hereby incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, Florida, hereby
directs and authorizes the City Manager to perform a study regarding Cuyahoga and Golf
Course Drive, with Cuyahoga's owners paying half the cost for the study, pursuant to an
agreement to be entered into in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, in an amount not
to exceed $10,000, payable from Account Number 37-515340, a non-budgeted item.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
