RESOLUTION N0: 78-$~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD DETERMINING THAT A NUISANCE IS BEING
` MAINTAINED ON CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN SAID CITY
AND DIRECTING THE ABATEMENT THEREOF.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the recommendation of the City
Manager of the City of Lynwood, this City Council: has previously found
that certain premises, hereinafter more fully described,..may be-::
presently being.maintained in such,~a manner as_to constitute a
nuisance. ,~~
WHEREAS, in light of said finding, this Council adopted
a,resoluton~declaring its intention to conduct,a public hearing to,
ascertain whether,•a nuisance is being maintained on said property;
and •
WHEREAS, this-Council has held a hearing and has heard
and: considered all relevant evidence and:. testimony from. all interested
persons.desirng to be heard concerning the conditions constituting
the-.alleged nuisance and the proposed rehabilitaton,.repair removal
and demolition thereof;
NOW., ~ THERFORE.,- the Cityr-Council bf the City of --Lynwood ~ -- ~~ •-=-
does.hereby~find, determine, order and resolve as follows:.
Section 1'. The property described as Lot .1376 of
Tract 389, and is generally known, as 11616 Fir Street, Lynwood.,,
California, is~hereby found and declared .to be.a public nuisance
as defined-in Chapter. 21 of-the., Lynwood City Code..
Section 2. The particular conditions. of said property
which are hereby found and determined to constitute a nuisance are
described as follows:
A: Debris.and.rubble from burned out garage..
B. Yards. overgrown.
C. General:-poor: maintenance..

Section 3. It~~is.further~found and-determined that, in
order t®..abate said nusance,'it.wll be necessary that the follow-
ing_ steps betaken:.
A. Remove debris and rubble from burned out garage..
B.~ Clean yards°-of all overgrowth.
C.- Provide continual maintenance.
Section 4. The owner of said.property,•is.ordered and :'.....
directed to take said steps and~to abate said nuisance.
Section~5. If~the property 'owner-fails to take the.:
steps as provided in this resolution within thirty (30) days after
the date this resolution is posted upon the-,property, the. City of..
Lynwood shall'immediately cause the same to be abated by City
personnel,or private contract and such personnel or persons,under
contract are expressly authorized to enter upon. the premises for..
~uch,purposes.~
Section 6. In the:-event the:City of Lynwood causes
the aforementioned~riuisance to be, abated by City personnel or private
contract; the owner of the.premises,shall be liable to said City. for
all Costs of such. abatement, including all administratve`cgsts. All

said costs-shall~consttute a special assessment against the subject;.
property.
Section 7. The City Clerk is authorized and directed
to post conspicuously; at least one copy of-this .resolution on the
subject property and to send: another copy of this resolution. by

registered or certified mail, postage prepaid, return receipt re-
quested; to the owner, of the land as his-name and address appear on
the last equalized."assessment roll or is known to the City Clerk.-
, The failure o.f any.. owner or other person to"receive such
notice shall not affect iii any: manner the va~.idity of any proceed-
ings taken hereunder.
