A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE'CITY~OF LYNWOOD APPROVING TWO
APPLICATIONS FOR FUNDS FROM THE CALIFm
ORNIA OFFICE OF TRAFFIC AND SAFETY
WHEREAS, the~Congress of the United States has
~~passed~Public Law No 89564 as amended by Public Law No. 91605
authorizing certain funds to be used for Traffic Safety purposes;
and, .
WHEREAS, the California Office of Traffic Safety has
been designated to administer such funds on behalf of the citizens
of .California; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is eligible to receive such
funds; and,
WHEREAS, the City has certain traffic safety-needs that
have not been met, of which. the highest priorities are the need for
a, traffic _a_ccident _study_ program anal.. the__need, for _ a_ traff%c_,law en- ~_,
~~ forcement program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Lynwood
submit the required application forms to the Office of Traffic Safety
for a traffic accident study program and a traffic law enforcement
program.
