ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING THE CITY
CODE, CHAPTER 19, REGARDING ROUNDABOUTS .
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Code, Chapter 19, is hereby amended by adding one new
section to read as follows:
Sec. 19-86 Roundabouts
A. No person shall drive vast a roundabout island except to the right of such island.
B. Every vehicle, upon aporoachim a roundabout,shall yield to vehicles within, or partially
within,the roundabout.
C. Drivers_enterint or leaving a roundabout are excused from the signalinz requirements of
section 19-111.
D. No driver of a vehicle shall overtake or pass or attempt to overtake or class any other
vehicle vroceedin2 in the same direction within a single lane roundabout.
E. No vehicle shall park, stop, or stand in a roundabout at anv time.
F. The following-intersections are designated as Roundabouts:
1. Stadium/Leslie/Lafavette
2. Graystone Drive&Sherwood Drive

Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval.
