RESOLUTION NO. 13-8614
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA TO AUTHORIZE THE
CITY MANAGER TO PURSUE OTHER ALTERNATIVES, IF
AGREEMENT TO PURCHASE TOWN CENTER IS NOT
NEGOTIATED BY JUNE 15, 2013; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Opa-locka has been negotiating the purchase of Town
Center; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, has concluded that,
the City should reconsider the purchase and pursue other alternatives if negotiations are
not resolved by June 15, 2013; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires the City
Manager to pursue other alternatives, if negotiations for the Town Center are not
completed by June 15, 2013.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble are hereby incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of City of Opa-locka, Florida, hereby directs
and authorizes the City Manager to pursue other alternatives, if agreement or negotiations
to purchase Town Center are not concluded by June 15, 2013. If agreement is reached by
June 15, 2013, the City Commission shall hold a Special Commission Meeting on
Tuesday, June 18, 2013 or Wednesday, June 19, 2013.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
