A RESOLUTION OF-THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF.LYNWOOD TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR .FUNDS
TO THE OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY FOR A PEDESTRIAN
EDUCATION AND ENFORCET~IENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States has passed
Public Law No. g1-605 authorizing certain funds_to be .used for
Traffic Safety purposes; and,:
WHEREA~~, the California Office of Traffic Safety has
been designated to administer such funds on behalf of the citizens
of California; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is eligible to receive
such funds;. and,
WHEREAS, the City has certain traffic safety needs
:that have not been met,. of which a high priority is the need for
pedestrian safety and enforcement program,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Lynwood
submit the required applicat-ion forms to the Office of Traffic
Safety for a pedestrian safety and enforcement program.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this. 17th day of
October 1978.
