RESOLUTION N0 ..7~-117
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD RELATING TO THE DESTRUCTION OF RECORDS.
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has retained certain records in the
lawful execution of_ her responsibilties which are no longer required;
and
WHEREAS, Government Code ss 34090 permits the head of a
city department to destroy any city record, document, instrument,
book or paper under his charge, without making a copy thereof, after
the same is no longer required;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
HL;REBY DOES FIND, DETERMINE, RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS
Section 1. The records to be destroyed pursuant to this
Resolution do not include records the destruction of which is
specifically prohibited by Government Code ~ 34090, namely
(a) Records affecting the title
or liens thereon:
(b) Court records;
(c) Records required to be kept
(d) Records less than two years
(e) The Minutes, ordinances, or
the legislative body of the

Section 2. The written consent of the City Attorney
has been obtained prior to the destruction of any and all city
records pursuant to this resolution.
