RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
INITIATIIVG PROCEEDINGS FOR ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED AS ANNEXATION
NO 1 (JONES LUMBER)
WHEREAS, a Resolution of Application for the proposed
annexation of territory in the County of Los Angeles was heretofore
filed with the Local Agency Formation Commission by the City of
Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, the reason or reasons for said proposal, as set
forth in the resolution therefor are To provide municipal ser-
vices to an area which is now being served by County governmental
services
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the
County of Los A_ngeles on November 22, 1978 adopted a resolution,
approving said proposal, assigning "Annexation No 1" as the
distinctive short-form designation, determining the boundaries of
the affected territory as described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto
and made a part hereof, and determining such territory to be
uninhabited, and
WHEREAS, said Commission's resolution making determina-
tions provides for the following terms and conditions None
W~ ~ NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of~the City of Lynwood
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE and ORDER as follows
Section 1 The City Council fixes January 16, 1979, at
the hour of 7 30 p m, in the Chambers of the City Council,
11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, California, as the time, date and
place of the public hearing.on this proposal
Section 2 Any owner of land within the affected territory
may file a written protest against the proposal with the City Clerk
at any time prior to conclusion of the hearing in this matter A
written protest by a landowner shall contain a description suffic-
ient to identify the land owned by him
Section 3 The City Clerk is directed to give notice of
the pub.lic hearing on said proposal pursuant to Sections 35222 and
35223 of the Government Code
