RESOLUTION NO. 78-126
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD RELATING TO THE DESTRUCTION .OF RECORDS.

WHEREAS, the City Clerk has retained certain records in the
lawful .execution of her responsibilities which are no longer required;
and
WHEREAS, Government Code ss 34090 permits the head of a
city department to destroy any city record, document,~instrument,
book or paper under his charge, without making a copy thereof,
after the same is no longer required;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY .COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
HEREBY DOES, FIND, DETERMINE, RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Sectori~l. The records- to be destroyed pursuant to this
Resolution do not include records the destruction of which is
specifically prohibited by Government Code sS,34090,~namely:
(a) Records-affecting the title to real property
or liens thereon:
'(b) Court records;
(c) Records required to be kept by Statute:
(d) Records less than two years old;
(e) The Minutes, ordinances, or resolutions of
the legislative body of the City of Lynwood.
Section 2. The written consent of the City Attorney
has been obtained prior to the destruction of any and all city
records pursuant to this resolution.
Section 3. The City, Clerk .of,:the- City.- of -L-ynwood is ~ ~~

Recreation Department Revolving Fund Cancelled Checks
January 1955 - August 196.1
Treasurer`s Department Trust Fund Cancelled Check
1947 - 1968-

Treasurers Department Trust Fund ,Receipts
1947.- 1968
General Fund Receipt Books
1957 - 1964
