ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH SAK
CONSTRUCTION, LLC FOR BASIN 16 SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION.
WHEREAS, SAK Construction, LLC has become the apparent lowest and best bidder on
the Basin 16 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The bid of SAK Construction, LLC is declared to be the lowest and best
bid and is hereby accepted.
Section 2.The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an agreement
with SAK Construction, LLC for Basin 16 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation.
Section 3. The agreement shall be substantially the same in form and content as
that agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval.

Six additional firms requested specifications but did not return a response and the project was
advertised in the News Tribune and on the City web site.

Staff recommends award of the base bid and alternate A to the lowest and best bidder,
SAK Construction of O'Fallon, MO in the amount of$1,391,809.55.
