CITY OF"-LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENTION
' TO CONDUCT°A PUBLIC HEARING 'TO ASCERTAIN
WHETHER°.A .NUISANCE IS BEING MAINTAiNED
ON~THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS-4220 SHIRLEY
-AVENUE '
WHEREAS the°_-Cty.Manager of the,City.of.Lynwood has re-
commended~that•this Czty Council find that a,certain•premise
`within~•the City~of°:.Lynwood may be maintained in such.a way
as to consttute°a=nuisance; and, .~
WHEREAS;. certain ...procedures are set forth in Chapter 21
of the City,"Code of the City of-Lynwood, pursuant ,to which
nuisances-may be abated,
NOW'; ..THEREFORE, THE" CITY COUNCIL; OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HERE$Y:RESOLVE-AS FOLLOWS:
1~ Based-upon-the aforesaid recommendation of the City
Manager, this .Council hereby. finds and:.-determines that the
fohlowng"described_property may be ,presently~'mantaz"ned
in such"~:a°manner as to ~onstitutea nuisance.. Said ,property is
described" as-.Lot ~92 -of -Century,- Square Tract; and is generally,.
known as~~4220 Shirley "Avenue,~Lynwood",-"California.
2. The conditions of "said property which may constitute a
nuisance are°described as follows: Violation of zoning ordinance.
. (.commer'cal;sal~age use in R-1 zone), debris,. inoperable motor
vehicles and maintenance of premises.
3. The method or methods by which such conditons could be
abated include, .Terminate".commercial use in R-1-zone; remove
debris, inoperable vehicles and maintain premises.
4. This-Council"therefore declares its intention to conduct
a public hearing:-pursuant to Chapter 21 of the, City Gode,of
the City'of".Lynwood".to ascertain whether the above-described
conditions constitute-a public nuisance, the abatement-of.which
is a,ppropr-fate under- the ~ Police ..power of the -City ofLynwood.
5. The_City Clerk is authorized and directed to fix'the
time. and°.plaee for said-public hearing and, to serve and poste
.cert'ified copies :of this Resolution in the manner-s.et forth,in
Section 23-18'~of°the Lynwood City: Code.
PASSED AND ADOPTED"at a regular meeting of.the City Council
of ;the City of Lynwood held on 'the 18th day of January, 1977.
