A RESOLUTION OF THE-CITY COUNCIL
OI' THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS ,
'.INTENTION TO HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING TO
CONSIDER VACATION OF ALLEY,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has
been petitioned by the United States Posta:I Service, Western Region,
to consider vacation of .a portion of alley 16 .feet by 180 feet,
- easterly of ,Long Beach Boulevard and southerly of Beechwood Avenue,
anal ` .` _ ,
' WHEREAS, the City may determine it would not require this
public right-of-way "for utility purposes, and
WHEREAS, there: may be no necessity to retain public access
within that portion of the .alley, ,
NOW,, THEREFORE', THE.City-Council of the City of Lynwood.
resolves and .finds as follows: -
'~ Section 1. It :is the intention of the City Council of the
City of Lynwood; to vacate. all of that portion of the alley hereafter
described.
Section 2. The alley, proposed to be vacated is described as
Exhibit"".A" "attacYied~_to this resolution and made a part of it by this
reference. A map or plan showing the location of the alley is" on file-
in the office of the City Engineer and reference is made to said map .
or plan ..for further particulars.
Section 3. May 17, 1977, at 7:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter
as the matter can be pearl in the Council Chambers of the City Hall of
the City of Lynwood; a public hearing will. be held. If the City Council
finds from the evidence submitted that.the alley is unnecessary for ,
.present or prospective use, it may make its .order vacating all or part
- of, the. .alley.
PASSED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting, of~the City Council
