ti`Tii;REAS, the Iii;liway .Act of 1976, made available funds
for the Safer Off-System Road Program to be allocated to States
accordinb to federal dis~r.ribution formula: 2/9 total area, 2/9 rux•a1.
population, "/!' ofif-systeri~ road mileage and 1/3 urban population, znd
'~'~i~LI~AS, these funds, alloca~~ed on project basis, can be
used for construction, resurfacing, reconstruction and improvement of
any roads not o~~ a Federal--^id System, and
"71~~E1?,s~~~5, the distribution of funds among -the Cities and
their respective County shall be determined by agreement between the
County anc'+. a majority of its cities as ~~rell as cities which re~reserit
a majority of the.?ir~anicipal population within the County.
NOW, TIiERI';.t~~OItI;, tie it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Lynwood, that tlia City concurs and agrees with the Federal
apportionment formula for distribution of safer off-system road funds.
