HomeMy Public PortalAbout1993-058Member Ann Thies introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 93-58 RESOLUTION GRANTING AN AMENDED CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO THORPE DISTRIBUTING COMPANY WHEREAS, Thorpe Distributing Company (Applicant) is the owner of the property located at 600 Clydesdale Trail; and WHEREAS, the city council of the City of Medina ( City) adopted Resolution No. 93-28 on May 18, 1993, granting permission for the construction of a warehouse facility; and WHEREAS, the Applicant wishes to amend its conditional use permit to allow the construction of a 55,000 square foot building; and WHEREAS, the planning commission and city council have reviewed the Applicant's request and have determined that granting the amended conditional use permit to the Applicant will not adversely affect the development of adjacent properties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina that an amended conditional use permit be granted to the Applicant for the stated purpose, subject to the following conditions: 1. The building shall not exceed 55,000 square feet; 1. There shall be no exterior storage on the site; 2. Any signs utilized on the site must meet City code requirements; 3. The Applicant must install landscaping or use other techniques to screen the parking area from adjacent property as shown on the approved plan; 4. All trash containers on the property must be screened or kept inside the building; 5. All roof top mechanical equipment must be screened from view from adjacent properties or roads; RHB57689 ME230-180 6. As a minimum, the Applicant must install the landscaping according to the approved plan; 7. Site parking must be constructed as shown on the approved plan including concrete curb and gutters; 8. All loading areas must be constructed to meet code requirements and concrete and pavement areas must meet City specifications; 9. The site may not exceed the maximum hardcover limitations of the city code; 10. The allowable hours of operation are 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; 11. The number of employees shall not exceed 45; 12. Exterior lighting shall be designed and installed so that the globe is recessed and enclosed on all sides except the bottom and no light is cast directly on any other property; 13. There shall be no outside loudspeakers or bells; 14. The building must be sprinkled throughout and fire hydrants and the fire road must be installed in accordance with the requirements of the fire department and fire marshall; 15. The Applicant shall pay to the City an administrative fee to reimburse the City for all expenses in reviewing this application; 16. This conditional use permit is conditional upon final approval of the Applicant's plat of the subject property; and 17. This resolution supersedes Resolution 92-102. Dated: August 25 , 1993.
