The City Council o:t the City of Lynwood does herF::..;~,
resolve as fol7.ows
WHEREAS the County of Los Angeles and its incorporated
cities are required by Section 6GtJ6 of the Government Cade to
designate an enforcement agency to carry out the pravisi.ons of the
'berg-Kapiloff Solid S"7aste Contzzol. Act o:~ 197C; and
WHEREAS the County ar?d each city w:i.th:n the G'ount.y of
Los Angeles has designated. or will d~:si.gn.ate its own, enforcement agency
(ies); and
Z~IHEREAS the Lcs ~irggeles County Department of Health
Services possesses the required capabi.litics in enuironrlental health
J and solid waste management to implement the Z'ber€;-liapiloff Solid
Waste Contro~.tCt of 1976 and the regulations and ordinances that
have been and , T~~~w11 be adopted pursuant thereto;
?~JO;'~, THEREI"ORE, BL' IT RESOLVED by this council that it
hereby designates the Los ~,ngeles County Depa,rtr~ent of` Health
Serv.~.ces as the enforcement agency for the City of Lynwood pursuant
to subsection (a) (3) of Sec~i;ion G6796 of the Government Codes
APFROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 21st day cif June, 1977
