Regular meeting of the Council : -

Minutes of the last meeting were read and on motion by Lindaman
second by'Kruse approved as read, carried.
Councilman Kruse introduced an Ordinance Entitled. 'Ordinance No.
98 ' being an°Ordinance Defining Offences
and prescribing Pena]2.ties for' Violation", and moved the adoption of
same. Motion Seconded by Lind.aman.
On Roll call- Ayes- Kruse, Lindaman, Okones-
Nays none- absent Haack & Luwe.
Councilman Lindaman moved. that the rule be suspended requiring
an ordinance to be read on three dif:'erent days be dispensed with,
and that the Clerk read the Ordinance as of its first, second and
third reading. Motion seconded by Ohones.
On Roll call';- Ayes Okones- Lind.a.man- Kruse.
Nays - ::^-ne absent, Haack & Luwe.

ORDINANCE NO 98.
Offenses
An ORDINANCE Defining OFFENSES
and Prescribing PENALTIES for
'VIOLATION:
Be It Ordaiued,by the Council of the
Town of Wellsburg, Iowa:
Section 1. Throw Projectile. small
be- unlaavful to throw any projectile
from any sling, catapult, nigger shooter,
or air gun, or shoot an arrow with bow
or cross -bow, on any street or alley, or
anywhere within the limits of the Town.
Section 2. Penalties. Anyone violat-
posed for the violation of this Ordi-�
nance shall, upon conviction, be subject
to imprisonment not exceeding 30 days,
or to a, fine not exceeding One Hundred'
Dollars. Whenever the fine and costs im-
posed for the violation of this O: rdi-
nance are not paid, the person convicted
may be committed to jail until the fine
and costs are paid, not exceeding 30
days (5714)
Section 3. All Ordinances or parts of
Ordinances in, conflict with the provis-
ions of this Ordinance are hereby re-
pealed.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in
force and effect from and after its pas-
sage and publication as provided by law.
Passed and adopted by the Town
Council this 5th day of April, 1943, and
published in the Wellsburg Herald on
the 14th day of April, 1943.

Salary for all -duties above mentioned. be set at P125.00 per month

Council convenes as a Board. of Health-
I?eil Okones was chosen Ps Chairman of the Board of Health.
There beip g no report filed for the past ,year.
It was moved and' seconded that the council adopt all the
rules and regulations of the State Board of health, and abide
thereby- Motion carried.
The i.:Lyour appointed Dr F R Ford HealthPhysician.
There being no other business motion was made to adjourn.

Council met as a Board of Review.

Geo Lindaman was chosen as Chairman, and Neil Okones
as secretary -
The Assessor, R `V Ross books were canvassed and all
assessments properly ;:.onsidered with the assessor, and after
dtte consideration the following changes were made;-
T K Bunger raised from $2500.00 to $5000.00
Adele Hi c' .man-Ra i se c from $2400.00 to 14000.00
Fannie Rieken- raised from 3000.01' to 5000.00
Ret�-'eter Grain Co- from 2000.00 to 4000.00

It was roved that the above parties be given proper notice
and to appear before the board Apr 15th for a hearing on
objections. -
It was therefor moved. to adjourn to An_ r 15th, at
7 : 3- PDI.

The following protests were heard from - T K Bunger
and Adele Hickman, after C-ue consideration it was moved
by Haack, seconded by Lindaman that the following changes
be approved and adopted, and the assessor so required to
make changes on his books.
Neil Okones lowered from $2500.00 to 1500.00
'Adele Hickman- same as Assessed 2400.00
'T K Bunger- raised farm 2500.00 to 3500.00
'Potgeter Grain Co- " 42000.00 to 4000.00
'Fannie Rieken It3000.00 to 5000.00
After the above changes in assessment a motion was
made to approve the Assessors books. - motion carried
There being no other business it was moved
to adjourn.
