RESOLUTION Ai1~IENDING RESOLUTION N0. 77-57 OF INTENTION
TO ABATE DRY ATdD DRYING WEEDS ON CERTAIN PARCELS OF
LAND I N THE C I'I'Y OF LI'NWOOD
WHEREAS, Chapter 13 of the Government Cade, cited as
"Weed and Rubbish. Abatement," provides for abatement of dry and
drying weeds that constitute a public nuisance, and
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the
City Council of the City of Lynwood by the Superintendent of
Streets that there exists an additional public nuisance on certain
parcels of land in the City of Lynwood, as hereinafter more
particularly describeda
NOW, THEREFORE, EE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lynwood, as followsa
1. That by reason of weeds growing on or in front
thereof a public nuisance exists upon the said additional parcels

2. .That said weeds are hereby found and declared to be
seasonal and recurrent nuisances;
3. That said weeds constitute a public nuisance which
must be abated by the removal thereof and that if the same are
not removed by the owners of the aforesaid properties, the nuisance
will be abated by the City- and the cost thereof assessed upon said
properties and that upon confirmation, such._cost will constitute
a lien thereon until paid;
4. That the Public Works Superintendent is hereby-directed
to cause -s aid notices to be posted in the. time, form and manner
required by law;
5. That the proceedings for aforesaid work shall be taken.
under an Act of the Legislature"of the State of California designated
as the Government Code, Chapter 13, Section 39501, et seq.; cited_as
"Weed and Rubbish Abatement," and amendments thereto.
6. Notice is hereby given "that on the-2nd day of August,
1977, Tuesday, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers,
City Hall, 11330 Bu11is Road, in the City of ,Lynwood, any and all
persons having any objections or protests to said proposed work
may appear before said City Council and show cause .why -said proposed
work should not be c-arried out in accordance. with said Act.
