A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY Off'
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LOCAL AGENCY°
-STATE MASTER AGREEMENT NO. 075250 FOR FEDERAL
AID_ERO:~E_CTS_IN_THE-CITY OF LY-N-WOOD -- - - ---- --- - --- ----
WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States has declared it to be
in the national interest for Federal Funds to be expended for highway,
. fringe parking, bicycle transportation, pedestrian walkways, a.ncl ~~ba.ss
transportation. projects; and
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of California. has enacted
legislation by which certain. Federal funds. authorized may be made available
for use on local transportation facilities in accordance with the intent of
Federal acts; and
WHEREAS,. there exists a compelling need for i.taaprovc~ments or
restoration of roads, streets, highways, fringe parking and public trans°
portation facilities within. the boundaries of the 'City of `Lynwo~dy anal
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood and the State of California therefore
desire to make use of such Federal funds as may be made available withi~i ~:
the jurisdictional boundaries of the:i City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, before Federal-aid wilt be made available for projects,
the City of Lynwood acid the State of California are required to enter into an
agreement relative to prosecution of said projects and maintenance of completed
facilities.
NO W,'.,THEREFORED BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Citg= Council adopts program of Federal°A id Urban
System projects in the City of Lynwood in a'ccor°dance with t'he aforem¢ntioned
agreement.
Section 2: That the Mayor of the City of Lynwood is authorized to
execute Local Agency°State Master Agreement No. 07-5250,
PASSED, APPROVED ANb ADOPTED THIS 2nd day of. August, 1977.
