resolution and moved its adoption:
CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-64
RESOLUTION APPROVING BID SPECIFICATIONS
FOR FRONT-END LOADER AND AUTHORIZING
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
WHEREAS, the public works director has prepared specifications
for the proposed purchase of a front-end loader; and
WHEREAS, the public works director has presented such
specifications to the council for approval;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Medina, Minnesota as follows:
1. The bid specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto
and made a part hereof, are hereby approved.
2. The city clerk -treasurer shall prepare and cause to be
inserted in the City's official newspaper an advertisement
for bids under the approved specifications. The
advertisement shall be published once weekly for two
consecutive weeks, shall specify the general mechanical
and performance specifications, shall state that bids will
be received by the clerk -treasurer until 10:00 a.m. on
Tuesday, October 12, 1993, at which time they will
publicly opened in the city hall by the clerk -treasurer
and public works director. No bids will be considered
unless sealed and filed with the clerk -treasurer and
accompanied by a bid bond for 5 percent of the amount of
the bid.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
duly seconded by member Ann Thies and upon vote being
taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Councilmember John Ferris, Thies, Zietlow and Mayor Theis
and the following voted against: None.
and the following were absent: Councilmember James Johnson.
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted this
