HomeMy Public PortalAbout16269 East Essex Ave 802-804 Storm Sewer (10587)O R D I N A N C E NO.16269 AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Three Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($310,000.00) from the Operations, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for storm sewer construction in East Essex Ave 802-804 Storm Sewer (10587) in the City of Glendale, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 53043 with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc. for storm sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Two Hundred Sixty-Four Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars and Fifty Cents ($264,685.50) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Forty-Five Thousand Three Hundred Fourteen Dollars and Fifty Cents ($45,314.50); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($310,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operations, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of Deer Creek for storm sewer construction in East Essex Ave 802-804 Storm Sewer (10587) in the City of Glendale, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 53043 with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer construction in East Essex Ave 802-804 Storm Sewer (10587) in the City of Glendale, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 16th day of November, 2023. The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 11, 2024
