AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Two Million Six Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($2,600,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary
sewer construction in Edmundson Sanitary Relief (Edmund Ave to Bataan Dr) (12159) in the City
of Woodson Terrace, City of Breckenridge Hills, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 53042 with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc. for
sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Two Million One
Hundred Ninety-Eight Thousand Dollars ($2,198,000.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Four Hundred Two Thousand Dollars ($402,000.00);
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($2,600,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
construction in Edmundson Sanitary Relief (Edmund Ave to Bataan Dr) (12159) in the City of
Woodson Terrace, City of Breckenridge Hills, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri;
said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office
of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 53042
with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
construction in Edmundson Sanitary Relief (Edmund Ave to Bataan Dr) (12159) in the City of
Woodson, City of Breckenridge Hills, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant
to bids received on the 21st day of November, 2023.
