COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA
ORDINANCE NO.14-2015
A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF RICHMOND
TO RECEIVE A DONATION FROM WELLS FARGO BANK, N.A. TO
PASS THROUGH TO RICHMOND NEIGHBORHOOD RESTORATION, INC.,
A NON-PROFIT DOMESTIC CORPORATION
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond, Indiana, has been approached by Richmond
Neighborhood Restoration Inc., a non-profit domestic corporation registered with
the Indiana Secretary of State, in connection with the possible donation of certain
property located at 36 South 19`h Street, Richmond, Indiana as well as the sum of
Three Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($3,000.00) as a cash contribution at
closing of said real property; and
WHEREAS, The real property is currently owned by Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., and may be
transferred by the Richmond Board of Public Works and Safety in accordance
with Indiana Code (IC) 36-1-11-1(b)(21); and
WHEREAS, The cash contribution that would be passed through to Richmond Neighborhood
Restoration Inc. would be deemed a donation initially accepted by the City of
Richmond, Indiana from Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.; and
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond, Indiana, has the option of accepting or rejecting donations
for a specific purpose; and
WHEREAS, The acceptance of a donation for a specific purpose constitutes the appropriation
of such property for the intended purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that the proposed cash contribution in the amount of $3,000.00 to be received by the
City at the closing to transfer real property located at 36 South 19a' Street in Richmond, Indiana,
from Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. shall be accepted and gratefully acknowledged by the citizens of
Richmond, and both the real property and cash contribution shall be passed through to Richmond
Neighborhood Restoration Inc. upon tosing of said real property.
