A RESOIaUT I0N OF THE C I TY COUNC I I1 OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE APPLICATION
FOR PEDESTRIAN FUNDS AUTHORIZED UNDER SB~-•821
WHEREAS, SB~=821 provides that 2 percent cif each
County's total Local Transportation Fund be a.nn~a~.lly set aside and
used to fund the development of bicycle anal pedestrian f~ci.lities,
and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwoc-d has adopted a Circulation
Element to the Gener~.l Plan of the City of Linwood, which includes a
Pedestrian Plan, and.
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood des_l.~es to ~:onstruct concrete
Sidewalks for Pedestrians within their City uti.l~.zl.ng t:he funds available
under SB -~ 821 .
NOWs~THER.EFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does resolve as follows '
Section 1. To authorize the ~c'ti.ng Di.xect:or of Public
Works as the City`s a.uthori.zed signature and desi.gnat.ed contact persons
Section 2. To apply for all funds ava~.lable to the City
of Lynwood allocated for Bikeways and Pedestrian fac.iliti.es (SBm821).
