RESOLUTION N0. 77-111
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION OF THE CITY IN THE JUVENILE
ASSISTANCE DIVERSION EFFORT (JADE) AND.APPROPRIATING
FUNDS FOR 1978-1979 FOR SAID PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the .City of Lynwood with _t he cities of Bell,
Cudahy, Huntington-Park, Maywood, and South Gate desires to
undertake a certain project, designated The Juvenile Assistance
Diversion Effort (JADE), to be funded in part from funds made
available pursuant to the Crime Control Act of 196.8 PL g0-351,
administered by the"Office of Criminal .Justice~Planning
(hereafter referred to as OCJP) far the California Council. on
Criminal Justice;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Chief of Police of
Gate is authorized, on behalf of the City of
an Application for Grant for Law Enforcement
ahd is authorized to execute on behalf of the
the Grant Award for law enforcement purposes
extensions or amendments•thereof..

Purposes to OCJP
City of South Gate
including any
Section 2. The City of Lynwood agrees to provide all
matching funds required of it-for said project (including any
extensions or amendments thereof) under the Crime Control Act
and the rules and regulations of OCJP and the Law Enforcement
Assistance Administration (LEAA) and that cash will be appropri-
ated as required, thereby; that the.City Council hereby
appropriates the sum of $794.00 for said program for fiscal year
1978-1979.
Section 3: That-grant funds received shall not be
used to supplant on-going law enforcement expenditures.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution.
