AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Three Hundred Seventy-Five
Thousand Dollars ($375,000.00) from the Operations, Maintenance, Construction, and
Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for storm sewer construction in Outer Ladue and
Chipper Storm Sewer (11034) in the City of Frontenac, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into Contract No. 53027 with Plattin Creek Excavating, LLC DBA PCX Construction, LLC for
storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Three Hundred Twenty-
Three Thousand One Hundred Fifty-Nine Dollars ($323,159.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Fifty-One Thousand Eight Hundred
Forty-One Dollars ($51,841.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars
($375,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operations, Maintenance, Construction, and
Improvement Fund of Deer Creek for storm sewer construction in Outer Ladue and Chipper Storm
Sewer (11034) in the City of Frontenac, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms
and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 53027
with Plattin Creek Excavating, LLC DBA PCX Construction, LLC, as the lowest responsible
bidder for storm sewer construction in Outer Ladue and Chipper Storm Sewer (11034) in the City
of Frontenac, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 6th day of December, 2023.
The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 8, 2024.
