RESOLUTION NO. 76-31
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS ARE OF BENEFIT
TO LYNWOOD REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA
"A" AND APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE
LYNWOOD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TO REIM-
BURSE SAID CITY FOR THE COSTS INCURRED BY
IT IN CONNECTION WTTH SUCH IMPROVEMENTS.
WHEREAS, the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency has heretofore
established its Project Area "A" and has adopted a Redevelopment Plan
for said Project Area; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has undertaken the installation
and construction of certain public improvements which are described in
detail in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference incorporated
herein as though set forth at length; said improvements shall hereinafter
be referred to as "Long Beach Boulevard Street Improvements"; and
WHEREAS, the said Long Beach Boulevard Street Improvements
are of substantial benefit to Project Area "A" and were initially paid for
by the City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, the Agency wishes to reimburse the City for all of
the costs of the said improvements pursuant to Health and Safety Code
Section 33445;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
hereby does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The Long Beach Boulevard Street Improvements
are found and determined to be of substantial benefit to Project Area "A" and
to the redevelopment thereof in accordance with the Redevelopment Plan.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby consents to the
Agency's reimbursement to the City of all costs incurred by the City
in connection with the installation and construction of improvements in
the Long Beach Boulevard Street Improvement project in the total sum
of $425, 117. 00.
SECTION 3. In connection with such reimbursement, the
Reimbursement Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and by this
reference incorporated herein as though set forth at length, hereby is
approved; and the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute and the
City Clerk to attest to said Agreement.
