A RESOLUTION OI~' THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'I'HE CITY OF'
LYNWOOD AUTHORI"LING PURCHASE OF PROPERTY NECESSARY
FOR THE WIDENING AND IMPROVEMENT OF LONG BEACH
BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has determined that
the widening and improvement of Long Beach Boulevard from the northerly to the
southerly boundaries of the City is necessary for the conver~ience, welfare, and
safety of the public, and
' WHEREAS, it has bee~i determined that the best inter~est of the City shall
be served by the acquisition of property necessary for said widening, and
WHEREAS, the City has appropriated certain funds for this acquisition
and development, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received an Environrrientai Impact
statement on the Long Beach Boule~vard Project and have determined that no
significant environmental impact will occur in the completion of this project.
NOW, THEREFURE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1, The following described property is necessary for the
widening of Long Beach Bouievard:
Parcel 25
The westerly 9, 5 feet (measured at right angles) of Lots 28 and
29 of Tract No. 'L551, ir. the City of L;~nwood, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, as per map recorded in Book 25 pages 78 to 80
of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County.
Section 2, That the purchase price of the above described property has
been negotiated with Andrew W, Salso ar:d Saveria Salao in the amount of $1475,
Section 3, That the City Cour.cil autnorize and direct City Staff to take
whatever steps necessary to accept this pro~erty in accordance with the terms and
conditions as set furth above,
