WHEREAS, the City Council of the City oi L,yr.wood ha~ determi~i~d that
the widening and improvement of Long Beach Boulevard frorn tEie ~ortiherly to thE
southerly boundaries of the City is necessary fer the caeic~^nience, welfare, amc3
safety of the publi~, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the best iut~:rest of" ttae City ~hall
be served by the acquisition of prope~rrty rxecessary for said widen:ng, ~rid
WHEREAS, THE City has apprc~riated ee~rtain f~r~ds for this acquisition
and developmeret, and
WFIEREAS, the City Council h~s :°eceiaed an Envire~n.r.ic~ntai impact
statement on the Long B~:ach Boul~*vard Project and 1-,a~-e dEtermined tt:at no
